After creating a widget, you are ready to add the code generated by ArtPlacer to your website and enable the widget for visitors to use.
This article describes the steps for adding the HTML or JavaScript code of any type of widget to product and non-product pages of custom websites or platforms other than Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix.
Note: Depending on your website or platform, you might need programming skills to edit your website’s code and add the widget code.
Add the Widget Code to Other Platforms or a Custom Website Page using HTML
Product Page
On your website or platform, paste the widget’s script code at the bottom of your page right before the </body> tag. Depending on your website or platform, you may be able to perform this action in the Settings, Tracking Codes, or Footer sections. The script code is one of the codes you obtained in the last step of the widget creation process and was located in the Script Code box.
Locate the section where you want to add the widget and paste the widget’s button code. This is the code you obtained in the last step of the widget creation process and was located in the Button Code box.
The button code has placeholders within the code, such as “dynamic URL here” or “dynamic price here,” which indicate where you need to add the values that the widget will display. Replace those placeholders with the corresponding dynamic values.
Non-Product Page
On your website or platform, paste the widget’s script code at the bottom of your page right before the </body> tag. Depending on your website or platform, you may be able to perform this action in the Settings, Tracking Codes, or Footer sections. The script code is one of the codes you obtained in the last step of the widget creation process and was located in the Script Code box.
