[For desktop users:]
To start creating a virtual exhibition:
From the My Virtual Exhibitions section, click NEW.
From the Virtual Galleries section, open a gallery and click SELECT.
Remember that if you do not have access to a particular gallery, you can rent it by clicking on GET ACCESS.
Select the Venue where you'd like to exhibit your show.
Fill out the exhibition details: name, author, date, description, and language. Choose an image for your virtual exhibition’s thumbnail. If you don’t upload an image, the system randomly selects an artwork from the exhibit every time it generates a thumbnail.
You can also add a brochure of the exhibit in PDF format.Note: ArtPlacer doesn’t choose PNG files for thumbnails.
Click SAVE AND CONTINUE.
Click START CURATING and start navigating the gallery using the buttons on the screen or your keyboard.
To add an artwork, click on a wall or pedestal slot on the gallery or the side panel. Use the side panel to configure each artwork.
Customize the gallery by choosing the flooring, wall color, and ceiling color.
To finish:
Click SAVE EXHIBITION to save your progress but leave the exhibit unpublished. You can only access unpublished exhibitions through the My Virtual Exhibitions section.
Click GO LIVE to make the exhibit shareable and visible on Discover Portfolio and the mobile app. A popup appears for you to copy a public link that you can share with guests or post on social media. The popup also displays an HTML code that allows you to embed the exhibit on your site.
Optionally, you can add wall text to your Virtual Exhibitions to describe to visitors the story told by the show or information about the artist or the art pieces.
